really empowering,” she stated. With all of the participants com- ing from all walks of life and par- ticipating makes, it a fun time for everyone involved. “The room is filled with people that all have a similar understanding, and it eliminates that type of isolation that people might feel when faced with these challenges.”
Meredith’s father studied ar- chitecture and art and was filled with creativity, which made him who he was. Cline expressed that he was curious about the world and wanted to learn more about it. He could make friends anywhere and was “uniquely multifaceted,” which, of course, Meredith inherited from her fa- ther. With her drive to fundraise and help others, Meredith has gotten creative with how she gets involved. “I try to make fundrais- ing fun and an experience for ev- eryone.” During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Cline hosted virtual bingo games. “I’m passionate about fundraising,” Cline contin-
ued.
When asked about what she
wants to see in the future of fundraising, Meredith said this. “I would love not to have to do this. Dana-Farber did so much with my father’s care and extended his life, which was amazing. I know the money donated has a positive impact, but I would love to see the distance closed on the battle of how expensive the care can be. I’m going to keep doing it no matter what, and I want to help these families in any way I can who are in this position, but I want to see it get to a point where people don’t have to spend their life savings just to live.”
In the face of challenges, Bris- tol native Meredith Cline has shown remarkable strength and determination. After losing her father, she turned her grief into action. Inspired by her family's love for cycling and her father's zest for life, Meredith found comfort in participating in char- itable events like the PMC Win- ter Cycle. Through her efforts to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, Meredith has
become a source of hope for many. Her commitment to sup- porting cancer patients and their families shows her resilience and compassion. As she continues her
advocacy for improved access to cancer care, Meredith's dedica- tion serves as a reminder of the impact one person can make in the fight against cancer.
