Never Fear, Plymouth’s Pa- rade and festivities will be held again this year. Three days of events to share with your family and friends right here in Plym- outh. Find the details on our Facebook page, “Plymouth’s Hometown Holiday Celebra- tion,” or check our website page at https://plymouthrotaryfoun- dation.org/ and share them. Then, invite your friends and rel- atives to come for a visit on the weekend of Dec 7th to enjoy a great Plymouth tradition.
This year promises some great entertainment at PSU’s Silver Center for the Arts. Friday, Dec 6, at 10:00 AM, PSU’s Staff’s Scholarship Committee begins its 16th Annual Festival of Trees, a raffle for beautifully decorated trees on display in the main lobby. Check their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ PSUFestivalofTrees. At 7 PM, PSU’s Mixed Emotions pres- ents a free one-hour A Cappella Winter Concert at Silver Center. They are always great! The Fes- tival of Trees will be open all day Saturday, closing at 7 PM.
Saturday, Dec 7th, is a very busy Celebration Day. Plym- outh Recreation starts the day with their annual Jingle Bell 5k Fun Run and Walk, with regis- tration starting at 8 AM. Then, from 11 AM to 2:00 PM, the Bridge House holds its annual Kids Cookie Walk at the Senior Center. Tables will be laden with cookies for sale, and, for the kids, there’s cookie creation, holiday face painting, and a visit with Mrs Claus. At 2 PM, Silver Center hosts a one-hour fun family Holiday Concert in the Hanaway Theatre. Tickets are $5 and available online at https://usnh.evenue.net/list/ PSU or call 603-536-2787. $5 Adults - Kids are free.
From 4-5 PM, many Main Street establishments will be of- fering their hospitality for warm- ing and treats. At 4:30, Master of Ceremonies Tim Keefe leads us in holiday songs and fun on the Common. And at 5 PM, it’s the Parade!!!! Prior year’s parades have bustled with brightly lit floats, bands, a “wrecker train,” decorated walking groups, a Chi-
nese dragon, decked out animals, dance troupes, and, of course, Santa. What will this year bring? Will you be in the parade? We can’t wait to see. Registration is free, and there’s still plenty of time. Visit https://plymouthro- taryfoundation.org/ to register.
After the parade, Santa will visit with the kids at the Senior Center. Across Green street we’ll fire up a HUGE Bonfire to warm you up and enjoy. Thanks for joining us.
On Sunday, skate for free with
Santa at the PSU ice arena from 11AM to 1PM (Note the new time). Santa will be on the ice for visiting and photo opportunities. Thanks to PSU, free skates are available.
