TTCC Announces Purchase of Kathleen’s Cottage Property in Bristol
BRISTOL — The Tap- ply Thompson Community Center (TTCC) is pleased to announce the purchase of the Kathleen’s Cottage property(- Formerly Parkhurst Hardware Store) in Bristol, New Hamp- shire, marking an exciting step forward in expanding rec- reational and programming opportunities for the commu- nities the TTCC serves.
The acquisition reflects TTCC’s long-term vision to develop a dedicated sports and community programming space that will serve residents of all ages. The organization hopes the site will become a hub for athletic activities, youth, teen, and adult pro- grams, and community gath- erings—meeting a growing regional need for accessible indoor space.
“This purchase represents an important investment in the future of our community,” said Les Dion, Director of the Tapply Thompson Commu- nity Center. “Our goal is to create a welcoming, multi-use space that supports healthy ac-
tivity, connection, and lifelong learning for people through- out TTCC communities.”
While formal design and fundraising efforts are still in the early stages, TTCC plans to engage community mem- bers, local organizations, and partners as ideas for the site take shape. The center em- phasizes that this is a long- term project, with careful planning to ensure the space reflects community needs and values.
“We see this as more than a building,” Rick Alpers, Chair of the TTCC Board of Di- rectors, added. “It’s about strengthening community ties and expanding opportunities for sports, enrichment, and in- clusive programming.”
Additional details regard- ing timelines, community input sessions, and develop- ment plans will be shared as they become available.

We hope everyone who at- tended the event had as much fun as those of us involved in producing the event did. The Wild West theme brought out some great costumes and serious
boot stomping dancing to music by Dudley Curves and The Last Cowboys. They were so much fun. David Lockwood enter- tained us on the piano during cocktail hour, and Pat Kelly did a fabulous job as emcee. Minute Man Press attended to all our printing needs as well.
Finally, we would like to thank everyone who came, purchased auction items, raffle tickets, and
sheriff badges. We could not do it without you. If you missed the event and would like to donate you can go to bit.ly/KTHODo- nation2026
