Message from our
LEADER
While the proper accounting of our Q1’18 will be $62.9M, the correct way to gauge
our Q1’18 performance is the $91.2M. With this adjusted lens, GLAS had a spot on
solid performance. While it is always great to beat Plan, getting to 95% in the face
of a challenging quarter for GLAS in terms of targets and deals is no small
accomplishment. I want to extend a big thanks to everyone in GLAS for their usual
hard work and dedication for making this a reality.
Our theme from the past few quarters has been: EXTEND AND EXPAND. I wrote that
we need to EXTEND the core competencies we already have while also have our
business EXPAND by finding new markets, different ways of driving operational
excellence, and becoming more creative in the types of services we provide. I don’t
believe that these priorities have changed. In fact, I think the urgency around them
has only grown. As evidenced by our performance in Q1’18, we are past the days of
blowing by our Plan targets. I’m confident that we will continue to make and exceed
our goals, but it will be by a few percentage points, not 10+. And the climb each
quarter will only get harder .
To mitigate these headwinds, we need the whole of GLAS to lift the organization to
EXTEND AND EXPAND. This includes every individual from every organization and
every geography. My leadership team and I are committed to doing everything in
our power to provide the leadership and resources to keep GLAS moving
forward. That said, we need everyone’s collective brain power to innovate
and continue our upward trajectory. As members of GLAS, it is all our
responsibility to continue making the organization great. I know we can
do it.
Thank you
for taking
up this call
to action!
