What’s going on at De La Salle Ashfield

In Term 2 and 3, Stage 4 students have carried on Projects Based Learning that linked the Italian language with its culture and concluded with a cooking day in the kitchen.
In Term 2 we looked at noun gender and definite articles using different recipes from various parts of Italy. The cooking day consisted of making pizza, including making the dough. The boys were very engaged in class when researching on the different Italian regional dishes and produced outstanding presentations (see an example slide below). The cooking day was a success and gave the students an opportunity to experience the Italian culture in a fun and practical way.
