The three day event culminated in an Aboriginal smoking ceremony, Korean drumming and a Chinese Dragon Dance. This day was further heightened by performances prepared by students from their languages classes, including a magnificent traditional Korean fan dance, and a Chinese choral performance. Our Year 3 Italian dancers worked hard to perfect La Tarantella Napoletana and performed proudly at assembly, demonstrating their respect and understanding of the Italian culture.
Strathfield South Public School Italian program is also supported by the Co.As.It. Italian insertion program. Co.As.It. representatives were invited to attend the activities along with representatives from other organisations.
