               Welcome  to  a  new  year  of  learning  and  development  at  Methodist  Health  System!    The  Organizational
               Effectiveness department is pleased to provide the 2019 training course catalog in a new, interactive eBook
               that is also a printable document. Inside, you will find over 100 professional development opportunities to
               help you and your team sharpen your skills and optimize business operations. We invite you to browse the
               catalog,  review  the  course  descriptions,  and  create  a  learning  plan  specific  to  your  needs  and  learning
               objectives.

               Your Schedule.  Your Pace.  Your Place.  Our online courses offer you the flexibility to learn at your own pace
               from any location with internet access; 24/7/365.  In addition to our standard e-learning courses, we are
               excited to provide 73 Microcourses as part of our training selections.  Microcourses are narrated, “YouTube-
               like”  videos  or  e-learning  modules  that  range  from  7  to  20  minutes  each,  delivered  in  “short  bursts”  of
               targeted information.

               Instructor-led  Training  –  The  Original  Social  Network.  Being  social  and  learning  collaboratively  was
               popularized long before technology birthed everything social: Social media, social networking, social learning,
               etc.  Face-to-face training led by a live instructor is still the gold standard for learning and development.  This
               year  we  will  offer  instructor-led  training  in  classrooms,  over  the  internet  in  a  virtual  classroom  and  in
               business simulation labs.

               Looking for a More Structured Approach?  If you want a comprehensive plan to support your training and
               development, check out the Sample Annual Learning Plans available in this year’s catalog. These plans are an
               example  of  how  you  can  create  your  own  blended  learning  experience  with  a  mix  of  the  online  and
               classroom-based training courses listed in this catalog.

                          o  Methodist Essentials for staff and individual contributors
                          o  Methodist Management Essentials for managers, supervisors, team leaders

               In each section, courses are listed by topic for ease of searching.  A brief course description is provided to
               ensure  you  register/enroll  in  the  appropriate  sessions  for  your  organizational  level.  Once  you  locate  an
               online course or a live class to attend, please log in to Methodist University, click on the catalog tab at the
               top of the page and type the course/class title in the “Search” field.
