TYING INSTRUCTIONS
1. First, tie the bottommost cloverleaf knot and
a round brocade knot with sixteen outer loops.
Wrap every third loop. Then tie a few cloverleaf
knots using both cord ends. Separate the cord
ends and tie a round brocade knot on either side
using the brocade ball knotting technique (see
page 62, Chinese Knotting). But before doing this,
tie the third cloverleaf knot, then, together with
the outer loop of the first round broacde knot, tie
a double connection knot and leave a suitable
length to tie the round brocade knot in the center.
Use the cord length left behind and both cord
ends to tie the round brocade knot in the center.
Then use both cord ends to tie the final round
brocade knot followed by a cloverleaf knot. But
before tying the final round brocade knot, sepa-
rately tie each cord end into the first cloverleaf
knot, then, together with the outer loop of the
round brocade knot on either side, tie a double
connection knot.
2. Use two new cords to tie the necklace loop.
Tie a double connection knot to hook up the knot
formation. Then, alternating one cord as the axis,
twist the other one around it to thicken the loop
and also to hide the cord ends. Finally, tie a button
knot.
3.Tie two round brocade knots with extended
cloverleaf knots for the earrings.

TYING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use both cord ends to tie a ru yi knot, a pan chang knot (though knotted
first, the former can only be completed after the latter is completed), and
a button knot. Separate both cord ends to separately tie a creeper knot
followed by a button knot. Hide the cord ends inside the knot bodies.Twist
the outer loop into the desired shape. (Sometimes, if the cord section left
behind is too long, the outer loop formed tends to be big and clumsy. Since
this is quite difficult to tighten, it can always be twisted it into an elegant
design.)
2. Use both cord ends to tie a cloverleaf knot followed by a round brocade
knot. (Though knotted first, the former can only be completed after the latter
has been done.)
3. Use a thick cord to make the necklace loop.
4.Tie two pan chang knots for the earrings.
