Rain-soaked Remembrance in Petrolia

The Remembrance Day wreath laying was plagued by constant rainfall and the occasional roll of thunder in Petrolia.
But that didn’t stop a devoted crowd of people who gathered beneath umbrellas and under the Victoria Park trees to remember and honour the men and women who had served the na on. Those who took part in the parade along Petrolia Line, from young cadets to community groups like the IODE to members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 216 Petrolia, marched to the sound of the Petrolia Legion pipes and drums in the undaunted spirit of the people they were about to honour. The Petrolia Legion pipe band created a circle under the huge evergreen to shelter their instruments while playing a solemn ta oo.
