All five roadshows were facilitated by Mr. Derick Coetzer
appointed by GIZ to ensure that discussions take place
in a structured manner which allows for a variety of
stakeholders to participate, provide inputs and learn from
the event. The roadshows commenced with speakers from
the Department of Energy, Department of Public Works,
SANEDI, Energy Service Companies (ESCos), Municipalities,
Measurement & Verification Bodies and Sustainable Use of
Natural Resources and Energy Finance (SUNREF). Ms. Wendy Jali, South African National Energy Institute (SANEDI)
presenting on “Background of establishing the ESCo Register
process – Lessons learnt” (Gauteng Roadshow).
