                   •  Rhyme – words that sound the same

                   •  Learned “Bee, Bee Bumblebee”
                   •  Used mouse & elephant friends to practice using high & low voices
                   •  Sang “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and twinkled fingers to the beat
                   •  Played rhythm sticks to the steady beat of “Engine, Engine”
                   •  Heard a performance on the clave

               Lesson Begins: MM introduces the word, song & instrument of the week

                              Word: pitch – the high or low quality of a sound

                              Song: “Punchinella”
                              Instrument: rhythm sticks


               Warm-Up:
                   •  Frankie Dance: head & tail motion – rock spine back-forth, side-side, fold at
                       the waist, roll up slow
                          o  Upper Body: figure eights, wave, swim, back stroke, raise the roof
                          o  Lower Body: hug a tree, high knees, little kicks, heel & toe touches,
                              crisscross jumps, Big X
                   •  Washing Windows, Stir the Soup
                   •  Vocal Warm-Up: speak, whisper, shout, sing; sigh high-low
                   •  Calm Body
