Enjoy seasonal spring produce with these
delicious recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Eating seasonally ensures you are consuming the freshest food

possible. There is such a thing called “food miles”, which pertains
to the amount of time a fruit or vegetable has travelled during a
time it is not in season to get to the store it is sold in. With seasonal

eating, most likely the food miles on the in-season food are much,
much shorter, giving us the freshness and health benefits we desire!

Seasonal produce not only tastes better, it is less expensive,
has higher nutritional value, and it supports our body’s

natural nutritional needs. It is also more environmentally
friendly. Eating seasonably supports local farming and local

communities. It is also about becoming less dependent on
supply chains that are quite vulnerable these days.

It’s easy to lose track of what produce is in season, so please check
with you local farmers and plenty of resources available on internet.
