Cooking for Healing: Brain Health


























       Turmeric Lemonade

         Turmeric is one of the kings of an anti-inflammatory diet, however it also works

                hard for brain health and fighting against Dementia and Alzheimers.

        Ingredients                                            Add all of the ingredients plus the
        4 lemons                                               peppercorns and sweetener to a high

        6-7 cups fresh water                                   powered blender. Blend until all
        1.5 inch fresh turmeric root, or 2 tsb of              ingredients are combined.

        turmeric powder
        1 inch ginger root                                     Taste and adjust for sweetness, and
        10-12 peppercorns                                      serve chilled over ice

        1/4 cup organic sweetener

        Instructions

        Peel the lemons and slice, carefully                   Notes:
        removing all seeds. Peel the turmeric

        and the ginger.                                        The peppercorns act to help the body
                                                               absorb the turmeric.
