● RoadCem used for access, working platforms and
compounds/laydown areas.
● 900mm diameter CFA piles installed through RoadCem platform.
● Large tracked cranes operated on RoadCem platforms to lift bridge
components in place.
● RoadCem mat returned to soil upon completion of project and
landscaped.
● Use of RoadCem saved £millions on this project and was
considered by the Client to be the only effective working platform
construction method in the very soft alluvium soils without being
able to raise levels due to risk of flooding risk and also not being
able to excavate too deeply due too high groundwater levels.
● Local residents benefited from greatly reduced HGV movements.
