Dear Tropic Star Lodge Family:
Ending this season of 2018 for Tropic Star exuded extreme joy, pride and excitement for myself and the Tropic Star Lodge Team. Reviewing our guests feedback and Trip Advisor reviews brings me great satisfaction to know that expectations were exceeded in fish- ing, the lodge, service and delicious food. I wish to thank our great Team for setting and reaching higher standards than ever– Well Done Team and Thank You!
I would like to thank all our wonderful guests who arrived as guests and left as family during this season. Your patronage and friendship means the world to Tropic Star Lodge.
I wish to thank our new owner, Carlos De Obaldia and his family who have helped fulfill our Tropic Star Lodge bucket list for im- provements. This is a project in motion and we strive for completion soon. The feedback has been incredible and I think all guests who visited this past year will agree that the quieter engines, revamped pool, upgraded rooms and restaurant have not taken away from the lodge experience but has only enhanced it.
Much work has been achieved on the conservation front with the Panamanian Fishing Authorities and our ongoing work with Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation and Nova Southeastern University. Our business is sport fishing and the preservation of nature is vital. We strive to bring awareness and make a difference in these Central American waters which are so abundant in fish life. We have started a non-profit organization and wish to start education and social pro- grams in our endeavor to improve the quality of life for our people
and the community of Piñas. Recently 10,000 trees were shipped and are being planted in the Piñas area in our reforestation plans.
On the fishing front, I would especially like to thank Richard for his inshore fishing efforts with our crews and guests. I feel really positive that our protected gigantic roosterfish have a safely recog- nized place as sought after species at Tropic Star Lodge.
We look forward to this new season and sharing special moments and exciting fishing stories with all of you who plan to visit us in the 2019 Season.
