Swan Taxis (WA)
Sanitation Stations
Providing Passengers and Drivers with a
Safer Travel Experience
As a means of reducing the risk of contamination from
Coronavirus (COVID-19) among its passengers and drivers, Swan
Taxis introduced a number of sanitation stations in mid-March
2020. These stations have been made available to all Perth based
taxi drivers and their vehicles - not just those operating under the
Swan Taxis banner.
The sanitation stations have been operating from two convenient
locations across Perth, including the taxi holding station at
the Perth Domestic Airport. The service is free. Drivers are
encouraged to provide a gold coin donation with proceeds going
to COVID-19 research.
The sanitation process involves an internal fumigation process
using hospital grade disinfectant, as well as the cleaning of door
handles and other customer touch points.
“As the leading taxi service provider in WA, we are committed
to minimising, wherever possible, the risk of infection among
our passengers, drivers and staff,” said Mr Carey Marshall, CEO
of Swan Taxis. “The taxi sanitation programme has also gone a
long way in reassuring passengers that we are doing our utmost
to provide the safest transport option. Feedback received from
passengers has been very supportive.”
The sanitation programme continues to operate with a view to it
becoming an ongoing service provided to Swan Taxis drivers.
