GivingPoint Project Report
•••
Creating a business plan will allow the staff to grow GivingPoint by focusing on the desirable goals and objectives that will develop the organization. We included our suggestions in the pro forma income statements spanning the next 5 years to help generate ideas of how much revenue is needed to implement these goals.
Alumni Network (Short-Term)
GivingPoint can reap several benefits from creating and maintaining an alumni network for students who have successfully completed the program. This can also be extended to volunteers who have assisted in any operations by collecting personal contact information and creating a secure database to store this information. Benefits of maintaining an alumni network, as discussed by CASE include:
(1) Positive word of mouth: Students who have gone through the program are more likely to be avid ambassadors for the program and spread positive word of mouth, leading to higher engagement.
(2) Mentorship: former students can return to mentor current students and assist with their projects. This can either be rewarded with additional volunteer hours or simply an acknowledgement at future events or at the end of the sessions.
(3) Financial: while it is unlikely that GivingPoint will receive a substantial amount of donations from high school students, it is possible that they can receive more funds from the parents of these students and other volunteers. Furthermore, positive word of mouth can also encourage external individuals to donate.
