and platinum cuts). That stuff won't happen if you're sitting in Podunk anywhere. Nothing wrong with
     Podunk! I prefer it (ha-ha)!
LL: You’ve coined the phrase “TRANS GENRE” to describe your sound and music. What do you
mean by that please? Has anyone Trans Gender or not ever been offended by it?
RB: Well, the truth is it means “Multi Genre” and in all reality it means no harm toward Trans
Genders or the LGBQT's and other groups. Please take note “there's no D in Genre” that's my next T
shirt (ha-ha)! Being honest here, I was discriminated a bit at
first from some DJ's, labels and reviewers because of the mix
of flavours I use. That was the inspiration for the term. Some
were harsh and some respectful. I feel you should be able to
play any style respectfully. In saying that I wouldn't do a Merle
Haggard set at a Blues fest unless done bluesy and vice versa.
I have played a Merle song at a fest when he died, with the
                                                 crowd’s permission. They loved it!!
The phrase also means “loosen the hell up”! This world has got
so spooled up. So take a breath and have a laugh! I have some
friends who love the phrase and some who hate it. I have some
really cool T-Shirts that say, “RB Stone Trans Genre, rock
twang blues”, don't judge!!” I'm always about losing the stress
thru laughter, but not at anyone's expense.
LL: How did you fare during the global pandemic?
RB: My driving gig flourished! Best year ever. Musically was cut short on a tour in Florida. There was
and is a lot of work out there other than music, if people are willing to work. I've done everything
from sell toilets, to fly Lear Jets! There's always a paycheck if you put the effort out and humble
     yourself.
LL: What can your fans look forward to coming up for you?
RB: Just finished an acoustic Americana record. Need to mix and master soon. It also comes with a
3-camera video shoot. Don't worry Blues fans! Will do another one soon!
