When faced with a problem, a difficulty or a challenge, what
we each choose to do in response, our attitudes toward the
situation and our subsequent actions, can make the difference
between a problem being compounded and repeated, or
alternatively, worked through, resolved and laid to rest.

And in this we have a choice.

Consciously embracing an attitude of self-responsibility,
kindness, compassion, care and above all respect… sends a
ripple out into the world that creates far more positive change
than we as individuals can ever be fully aware of.

Thank you to all of you, who in the extraordinary ordinary
ways, that are so often unrecognized and yet make such a
difference, choose to live as you do. In doing so, you shine.

In choosing to live respectfully we embrace our unique
individual ability to be the cutting edge of change.

It is within the immediacy of our own lives that we sow the
seeds of real and significant change and in being the best that
we can be and in supporting others to do the same, we create
a beacon of hope for others to follow.

“It's always inspiring to me to meet people who feel that they can
make a difference in the world. That's their motive, that's their
passion... I think that's what makes your life meaningful, that's
what fills your own heart and that's what gives you purpose.”

                        Maria Shriver. (b.1955) Journalist
