惠能（638—713）
善美之城 名人璀璨 中国佛家禅宗六祖、禅宗南宗创始人。惠能在粤北行化 37 年，
2 Famous People 由门人法海集其言行编成的《坛经》，被尊为“禅宗的宗经”，他
中国·韶关 所开创的六祖禅，到唐末五代发展成五家七宗，在日本、朝鲜和欧
美各国等都有一定的影响。至今南华寺内祖殿仍安放着六祖真身。
Huineng (638-713)
Huineng is the sixth Zen Buddhist patriarch and the founder
of the Zen Buddhism, who had practiced Zen Buddhism for 37
the City of KINDNESS and Beauty
years in the northern areas of Guangdong. The Platform Sūtra of
the Sixth Patriarch is attributed to a disciple of Huineng named
Fahai and purports to be a record of Huineng’s life, lectures
and interactions with disciples. The Sixth Patriarch he created

Hou Andu (519-563)
In the Chen Dynasty, Hou Andu came
from a prominent clan of Shixing Commandery.

Hou scored many victories and supported the
succession of Emperor Wen, and was awarded
