banana boats

The idea is simple: take an unpeeled

banana and use a sharp knife to cut
through the peel and about halfway
            down the banana lengthwise. Use

your thumbs to open up the banana
from the cut—kind of like a banana
taco. Then you stuff the banana full of
whatever floats your boat (see what I
            did there?) Think candy, chocolate,

            butterscotch chips, chopped nuts,
            marshmallows, coconut, peanut but-
ter, nutella and/or candy bars. Wrap

tightly with foil and toss on the grill for
            five minutes (or campfire). Unwrap
and enjoy as is or top with ice cream.

I am the biggest banana fanatic. I buy

a bunch of Dole bananas almost every
single week of my life. I bake banana
bread, I put them in smoothies, I make

“nice cream,” I bake them in cakes, I
turn them into popsicles, and I eat
them morning, noon and night. If
you love bananas as much as I do, you
are going to adore this easy and fun

            dessert recipe!
