My mom told me this idea many
years ago when I wanted to go
camping with friends. The trip
fell through, but I never forgot
about the banana idea! She
used to make her banana boats
on a campfire, but I just tossed
mine right on my outdoor grill
for an instant vacation.
BE WARNED: my friends and I
could not even speak while we
were eating our banana boats.
They are that good. My friend
Rebecca said, “I’m sorry, I can’t

replied, “See you in 5 minutes.”

2) Using a small, sharp knife, cut banana peel lengthwise to form a boat.
Do not peel the bananas! Don’t cut all the way through. The idea is to create
a pocket in which to stuff treats. Use your thumb to open up the banana peel
where you made the cut. THEROSETABLE.COM

3) Stuff banana with toppings of choice. I highly suggest chocolate chips,
marshmallows, macadamia nuts and crumbled butter cookies. Yum!

4) Wrap your banana boat in foil. Grill for five minutes (until stuffings melt).
Unwrap and enjoy as is or top with ice cream.
