COMMUNITY STOREHOUSE HOPE DINNER
Benefitting Local Kids Living at or Below the Poverty Line
For many of us that read this publication—
buying a backpack, some folders, pencils or
fruit snacks isn’t what we would consider a
“luxury.” It’s just a part of our everyday routine.
If our kids need something for their school day,
we simply add it to the shopping list without
much of a second thought. But for the 13.7%
of people living in poverty in Tarrant County,
things such as school supplies and snacks aren’t
something that can be regularly replenished.
Think 13% doesn’t sound like a lot? It equals
over 250,000 Tarrant County residents. QUICK FACTS
