(3) Workshop 1: When’s Our Time Off?

What are we learning?
• To develop an understanding of the ways in which sociocultural contexts impact on the lives of children.
• To critically explore the impact different (Chinese) families have on their children’s health and sport engagement.
• To develop reflective skills that appreciate the cultures, experiences and diversity within ourselves and others.
Time needed
• 1.5 hour
Theory
• To apply Bourdieu’s concepts of capital, habitus, practice and field in sport, health and ethnic diversity.
• To appreciate arts-based methods in teaching and learning about diversity work.

• Video recording set ups for radio drama reading performance
