(4) Workshop 2: Are We an Asset or a Threat?

What are we learning?
• To demonstrate an understanding of the range of factors that impact people’s health-related experiences in relation to race, ethnicity and social justice.
• To critically explore matters on COVID-19, cultural differences, social class, discrimination related to children’s health-related experiences.
• To develop communication skills effectively through speaking and writing in health, community and educational contexts.
Theory
• To apply postcolonial theories/Critical Race Theory/Critical Whiteness Studies to think through postcolonialism, whiteness and privileges.
• To appreciate arts-based methods in teaching and learning about diversity work.
• 1.5 hour
