     Class Activity
(1) Listen/Read (15 mins):
• Have the whole class listen to the radio drama recording and/or read the comic.
(2) Perform/Produce (45 mins):
• Establish groups of 3 in which you will read aloud the radio drama script.
• Each student chooses a role to play: Anni, Meiling, Thea.
• Invite one group of students to perform the play to class.
• Performance may be recorded and presentations may be published on social media.
• Defend your consequences: Imagine you’re Anni and have decided to talk to your Mum about your GCSEs subjects and future career.
Complete this sentence with as many points as possible: The consequences of not listening to your parents’ plans are... (e.g. you miss
opportunities to...)
• Develop the points based on the influences of gender, class, ethnicity, culture and social mobility on the consequences.
• Group presentations may form part of an assessment.
(3) Group Discussion (30 mins):
• What is the context of this story?
• What are the hidden messages around ethnic diversity in this drama?
