just adding the extra drama to make the story
sound worse than it really was.
There’s an old saying, “No one washes a rental
car!” It’s true, isn’t it? If you don’t own it, you
just don’t feel the same way about it. Don’t let
anyone else dictate your goals for you. You
must find things that you want to pursue! You
are worth it. You deserve it, and as you
progressively grow to the point where you
achieve your goals and dreams, you will attain
more of that seemingly elusive thing called
happiness.
Remember what I said earlier in the
Introduction Chapter about Earl Nightingale’s
quote, “Happiness is the progressive realization
of a worthy ideal.” It is a funny thing that most
people never really think about. What it is they
want? I mean really want. They will list off the
things that they don’t want very quickly, and
because of their mental focus and dominant
thoughts, what they don’t want is what they get.
