All employee access to the corporate network, systems, applications and resources is managed through the use of unique usernames and passwords. Passwords are confidential and must not be shared. It is against Company policy to log into any application, system or corporate resource with someone else’s credentials. Employees are prohibited from using any credentials other than their own. Doing so is a violation of privacy, company data, and accepted standards, which may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
7-2. Internet Policy
All internet data that is composed, transmitted, or received via our computer communications systems is part of the organization's official records and, as such, is subject to inspection and review by Erbe, disclosure to law enforcement or other third parties. Consequently, employees should always ensure that the business information contained in internet e-mail messages and other transmissions is accurate, appropriate, ethical, and lawful.
The equipment, services, and technology provided to access the internet remain at all times the property of the organization. As such, Erbe reserves the right to monitor internet traffic, and retrieve and read any data composed, sent, or received through our online connections and stored in our computer systems and/or servers.
Employees should take all reasonable protections against viruses while using the internet via Company property.
Data that is composed, transmitted, accessed, or received via the internet must not contain content that could be considered discriminatory, offensive, obscene, threatening, harassing, intimidating, or disruptive to any employee or other person. Additionally, all data that is composed, transmitted, accessed, or received should have a business-related purpose and comport with all applicable laws.
The unauthorized use, installation, copying, or distribution of copyrighted, trademarked, or patented material on the internet is expressly prohibited. Employees are also responsible for ensuring that the person sending any material over the internet has the appropriate distribution rights.
7-3. Technology Policy
Erbe’s communication and technology systems, including Portable Communication Devices, are intended primarily for business purposes. However, limited personal use is allowed only if it does not hinder job performance or violate Company policy. When using Company communication and technology systems, employees should have no expectation of privacy. Erbe may access the voicemail, e-mail, and other communications systems to obtain communications within the systems, without notice to users of the system.
Personal use of company systems must not interfere with work functions or cause the employee to take unreasonable amounts of time away from work. This policy is designed to assist employees to
