  Full-Time Vacation Accrual
Full-time employees accrue vacation time according to the matrix below.
Part-Time Vacation Accrual
Part-time employees accrue vacation time according to the matrix below. All other vacation rules apply.
Annual Rollover
40 hours is the maximum amount of vacation time than can be rolled over from one year to the next. Any rollover hours must be used by no later than May 31st of the following year. Rollover hours not used by May 31st are considered forfeit. Part-time employees may carry over 20 hours, within the same parameters.
At times, business needs or projects may require the company to ask an employee to forgo taking a certain amount of vacation time. On these rare occasions, Erbe may allow additional rollover in exchange for this accommodation. Any additional rollover must be approved by Human Resources.
Notification
Employees are asked to provide at least two weeks’ notice when requesting vacation time. Employees must utilize the online Human Resources Portal when requesting vacation time. For more instructions regarding accessing this system, please refer to the separate instructions provided.
The employee’s manager has discretion when approving or denying vacation time. Erbe reserves the right to approve or deny requests based on business needs that may require doing so. Employees are encouraged to have alternate dates ready should the case arise.
10-2. Sick Leave
Sick time is accrued at the same rate for all employees regardless of service time.
Full-Time Sick Leave Accrual
Sick leave accrues at the rate of 2.67 hours per payroll period, up to a maximum of 64 hours or 8 days per calendar year.
