ARTICLE IV
ADMINISTRATIVE
Section 1. The Officers and their Duties
A. Board Chair Shall:
1. Preside at all board meetings.
2. Work with the President/CEO to make necessary decisions on all points not specifically governed by the Constitution and Bylaws.
3. Delegate responsibility for handling all duties not specifically provided for in the Constitution and Bylaws.
4. Represent or delegate someone to represent the Association when necessary.
5. Authorize the appointment of Board of Regent or Regional Director to represent the NJCAA at all National Meets or Tournaments,
unless otherwise provided.
6. Cast the deciding ballot in all Board Meetings in the event of a tie vote on any motion.
7. Be bonded for an amount not less than fifty-thousand dollars ($50,000.00).
8. Be responsible for approving the appointments of individuals to serve on NJCAA special or standing committees.
9. Appoint Men’s and Women’s Administrators to committees as needed, and assign duties as needed.
10. Review the performance of the NJCAA President/CEO and include the Board of Regents as necessary.
11. Work in an advisory capacity in conjunction with the NJCAA Board of Regents and the NJCAA National Office on past, current and
future direction, issues and projects.
B. Vice Chair Shall:
1. Preside in the absence of the Board Chair.
2. Assist the Board Chair by supervising the work of all standing and special committees.
3. Assume all duties and responsibilities delegated to him/her by the Board Chair.
4. Assume and carry out responsibilities as a member of the Board of Regents.
C. Men’s Senior Administrator Shall:
1. Serve as a voting member of the NJCAA Board of Regents.
2. Represent the men’s sports overall on the Board of Regents.
3. Assist Board Chair with selecting all sports committee members.
D. Women’s Administrator Shall:
1. Serve as a voting member of the NJCAA Board of Regents.
2. Represent the women’s sports overall on the Board of Regents.
3. Assist Board chair with selecting all sports committee members.
E. Secretary Shall:
1. Ensure that proper records of proceedings are maintained.
2. Assume all duties and responsibilities delegated to him/her by the Board Chair.
3. Assume and carry out responsibilities as a member of the Board of Regents.
F. Treasurer Shall:
1. Provide financial reports to the Board of Regents at each meeting.
2. Assume all duties and responsibilities delegated to him/her by the Board Chair.
3. Assume and carry out responsibilities as a member of the Board of Regents.
G. Presidential Advisory Council Chair Shall:
1. Serve as a voting member of the Board of Regents.
2. Lead and represent the PAC at board meetings.
3. Provide presidential perspective and insight to the BOR and CEO.
4. Represent or delegate someone to represent the Association when necessary.
5. Assist with the review of the performance of the NJCAA President/CEO and include the Board of Regents as necessary.
6. Work in an advisory capacity in conjunction with the NJCAA Board of Regents and the NJCAA National Office on past, current and
future direction, issues and projects.
