Career and Technical Education gives high school students the
chance to get a head start on lifetime career success, preparing NOW for

college, career, military and service opportunities after graduation!

          In CTE programs, students—

 learn how core school subjects like math, science, history and writing

                    apply to careers and life.

 participate in hands-on training in their field of interest

 gain real world experience through simulated work activities, job shad-

                    ows, service projects and internships.

CTE programs provide the opportunity to earn FREE college credits as part
of the high-school curriculum (no extra classes, time or cost) that lead directly to

          college credentials and degree programs.

Many CTE programs offer the opportunity to earn nationally recognized

certifications, leading to jobs that can help pay for college or allowing
students to start careers straight out of high school!
