Pandit Jee ki Dukan……………
My obsession with “Pandit Jee ki Dukan” opposite IT College is
no secret. He offered samosa, chai and in winter famous gajjar
ka halwa. I became regular during PhD days with other
colleagues of department.
Shop was nerve centre for debates on university &
departmental politics. Many research ideas germinated there
and got converted into research papers and PhD thesis.
Pandit Jee was thorough gentleman. He never maintained
credit ledger but also never refused to anyone without money.
Time elapsed, now Pandit Jee is no more, probably neither
his ancestral shop, but sweet memories still tinkling like
pious bell of temple.
