                Childhood mischief………

People seldom had cycles during my childhood. My cycle was

therefore, an attraction to friends. Taking chances for a round
               was the norm of evenings.

Raman‟s father takes milk before retiring, hence Raman daily
fetched milk in earthen cup (kulhad). One evening he passed
over kulhad to me for a cycle round. Mischievously, I drank

milk, filled with water, covered and handed back to Raman and
               waited for reaction.

Seeing Raman rushing angrily to shop, I confessed the truth,
apologized and procured milk for him.

There's nothing more contagious than the childhood
mischief; it should however, never hurt the feelings
               though………..
