Childhood mischief………
People seldom had cycles during my childhood. My cycle was
therefore, an attraction to friends. Taking chances for a round
was the norm of evenings.
Raman‟s father takes milk before retiring, hence Raman daily
fetched milk in earthen cup (kulhad). One evening he passed
over kulhad to me for a cycle round. Mischievously, I drank
milk, filled with water, covered and handed back to Raman and
waited for reaction.
Seeing Raman rushing angrily to shop, I confessed the truth,
apologized and procured milk for him.
There's nothing more contagious than the childhood
mischief; it should however, never hurt the feelings
though………..
