EOS 90631-A-PHY-0016 Contention and Totem assembly
a. The patient support contention totem assembly is only one of three columns that form the
support frame which provides the necessary structure to support the carbon panels and
covers.
b. As already seen, the patient support totem or left column “A” is positioned closest to the frontal
plane column while the right column “C” is closest to the lateral plane column. The middle
column “B” sits right in the middle of the structure.
c. Notice that the right column is anchored to
the floor. Once again, the following
procedure assumes the anchoring has
been previously completed.
d. Locate right column
e. Slightly loosen up the top and bottom
brackets to facilitate its positioning
f. Position and line up the column to the
brackets.
g. The column attaches to the bridge plate at
the top and at the floor anchored bracket
at the bottom.
h. DO NOT fully tighten the bolts yet
i. Level the column as accurately as
possible and tighten the bolts on both
ends, top and bottom
