Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881-1938): M. Kemal Atatürk, 1881 yýlýnda Selanik’te doðdu. 1923 yýlýnda Türkiye
Cumhuriyeti’ni kurdu. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin ilk cumhurbaþkaný oldu. Türkiye’yi sosyal, ekonomik, kültürel alanda
modern medeniyetler seviyesine ulaþtýrdý. 10 Kasým 1938’de Ýstanbul’da öldü.
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk: Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was born in 1881 in Selanik. He founded the Turkish Republic in
1923. He was the first President of Turkey. He developed Turkey in the fields of social, cultural and economics. He died
on 10 November 1938.
Naim Süleymanoðlu (1967): Naim Süleymanoðlu, bütün oto-
ritelere göre dünyanýn en iyi haltercisidir. Lakabý ufak tefek ancak
kuvvetli olmasý nedeniyle “Cep Herkülü”dür. Haltere 10 yaþýnda
baþlamýþtýr. 16 yaþýnda dünya rekoru kýrarak tarihe geçmiþtir. 46
dünya rekoru ve üst üste 3 olimpiyat þampiyonluðu vardýr.
Naim Süleymanoðlu: According to some leading authorities,
Süleymanoðlu was the best weightlifter in the world. He became
known as 'Pocket Hercules' because he was tiny but strong. He
started his career at the age of 10. He broke his first record at 16;
then went on to break 46 world records and three Olympic
records.
Orhan Pamuk (1952): 2006 yýlýnda Nobel
Edebiyat Ödülü’nü kazandý. Bu ödülü kazanan en
genç iki kiþiden biridir. Kitaplarý 58 dile çevrildi ve
yüzden fazla ülkede yayýmlandý.
Orhan Pamuk: He was awarded the Nobel
Prize for Literature in 2006. He is one of the
youngest people ever to be awarded the Nobel
Prize and his books have been translated into
58 languages and published in more than
100 countries.
Mevlâna (1207-1273): Büyük Ýslam âlimi, fi-
lozof ve Mevleviliðin kurucusudur. “Mesnevi” adlý ki-
tabýyla insanlara; sevgi, barýþ ve hoþgörüyü yaymayý
öðütledi. 2007 yýlý UNESCO tarafýndan Mevlâna yýlý
olarak ilan edildi ve tüm dünyada kutlandý.
Mevlâna: A great thinker, philosopher and founder of
Sufism, Mevlâna encouraged love, peace and tolerance in
his book 'Mesnevi'. The year 2007 was dedicated to
Mevlâna by UNESCO and celebrated all over the world.
