THE MANAGER New Angels manager Brad Ausmus succeeded Mike
Scioscia, who had managed the team for the last 19 seasons, and posted 2019 offensive leaders
a 72-90 record in his first season as skipper...Ausmus was appointed on
Oct. 21, 2018 after serving as a Special Assistant to the General Manager AVG .291 Trout

Andrelton Simmons, Kevan Smith and Griffin Canning) and three players SAVES 23 Robles
missed over 100 games while on the injured list (JC Ramírez, Keynan
Middleton and Zack Cozart)...A total of 16 pitchers were placed on the IL,
as well as nine position players and two-way player Shohei Ohtani .
RBI MACHINE With a solo home run May 9th at Detroit, Albert Pujols became just the third player in baseball
history to log 2,000 RBI, joining Hank Aron (2,297) and Alex Rodriguez (2,086)...Pujols enters the 2020 campaign
with 2,075 RBI...His 746 RBI as an Angel rank fifth in franchise history (Trout is fourth with 752).
