TARGET 2 PARTNERS WITH
THE VON BRAUN LIONS CLUB

Target 2 partnered with the Von Braun Lions Club for their bi-monthly meal
donation for the homeless community. The Lions Club donated 80 meals that were
served at First Stop. Target 2 donated 80 “Healthy Snack Bags” that were
distributed as the meals were served. Lion Club members delivered the meals to
First Stop and along with them Soror Wilma (also a Lions Club member)
delivered the “Healthy Snack Bags”. Pictured: Wilma Ruffin with Lions Club

Miss Black Alabama USA, Lauren Blue, shows how she prepares her healthy
meals; Dr. Angel Dunlap, nutritionist, shows how to makes healthy meals for kids;
and Ms. Brittannie Chester, registered dietitian, along with her dad, Dr. Wayne G.
Stanley, family practice physician, provided meal prep for diabetics and presented
a presentation on diabetes. These three meal prep series were developed by Soror
Erica Bartee, Lead for Nutrition and Wellness for Life Subcommittee.
