The Mount Magazine State Park Lodge
offers picturesque accommodations,
overlooking the Petit Jean River Valley
and Blue Mountain Lake. The property
includes 60 guest rooms, a hearth room
lobby, conference center, business
center, indoor swimming pool, fitness
center and gift shop. The lodge also
operates “The Skycrest Restaurant,”
which is famous for its delicious Southern
cuisine.
The Janet Huckabee Nature Center,
located a few miles from Van Buren, is
situated on 170 acres overlooking Wells
Lake. Visitors can get an up-close look at
native plants and animals while hiking or
walking through the gorgeous property.
Skilled staff and volunteers offer guided
tours, boating lessons, and hunting
safety courses. Admission to the nature
center is free and includes access to the
trails and exhibits. Highlights include a
1,700-gallon aquarium filled with fish
