LCC Director, Pat Powell. “They met

reality.”
Members of the team each took
responsibility for providing the vision
and leadership to see the project
progress through the various design and
approval processes. Some of the work
was done by individual members of the
group, while other aspects required the

“We wanted to show what could be
done if everyone teamed up to do
their part and see the project through,”
Evans said. “This is going to be a great
addition to Van Buren.”
LCC requires a substantial amount of
time from the participants, who come
from a variety of business backgrounds,
but the special projects allow them to
engage in teamwork and collaborate
on tasks that will lead to an improved
community, according to Powell.
