Saul dressed David in his own armor. He put a helmet of brass on his head and armed him with a coat of mail. David said to Saul, "I cannot go dressed this way, for I am not used to it." He laid the armor aside, took a sling and ve smooth stones, and went forth to meet the Philistine.
When Goliath saw David, he made fun of him and
cursed him. He said,ยท '' Come to thy esh to the birds of the air.''
me and I will give
David answered the Philistine, '' Thou comest to me with a sword and th a shield and with a spear. But I come to thee in the name of the God of Israel. This day I ll slay thee and take thy head from thee. The Philistine shall know that there is a God in Israel.''
