346 CHRIST PREPARES TO REDEEM THE WO D
JESUS CHOOSES HIS FIRST DISCIPLES
'' Come after Me, and I will make you shers of men.'' Immediately they left their nets and followed Him. Going a little farther on, He saw John in a ship with his brother, James, and his father, who was called Zebedee. They were mending their nets. He called them, and immediately James and John left their nets and their father, and followed after Him.
Another day, as Jesus was passing by a custom house, He saw a publican by the name of Matthew, sitting there and collecting the taxes. He said to him, "Follow Me." Immediately Matthew rose up and fol lowed after Him.
