JESUS ENTERING JERUSALEM
colt was brought to Jesus. The apostles threw eir garments over it, and Jesus sat upon its back. When the crowds on the road saw Jesus coming, riding upon the ass, they spread their cloaks on the ground before Him and cut down boughs from the trees and strewed them in the way. With branches of palm trees in their hands, they crowded around Him and cried out, ''Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!''
There were a number of Pharisees in the crowd, and they said among themselves, "Do you not see that we aecomplish nothing? Behold, the whole world is run ning after Him. ''
