Learn about the development of architecture

Design is not created in a space that is separate from society. The context in which design is created
influences the materials they are made of, as well as the processes used to create them. The social
values, the problems faced as well as popular culture affect the messages that are communicated
through design. Designers are continually influenced by their life experiences and the environment
around them. What have you been influenced by? Maybe you have had a really exciting and easygoing
childhood, spoilt rotten and loved so much that you now have issues with going near your Great Aunts
                               ’
("aaaah, please dont kiss me again ... no not the cheeks... aaaah, too late!!!).

                                        ’
Maybe your childhood wasnt so pleasant. You have had to face some big obstacles in your short
lifetime. You have felt heartache, pain and loneliness. Maybe at times you have felt that life is too difficult,
that life is unfair and maybe you have wished that your circumstances were very different. Whatever the
                        ’
case, our lifes journey prepares us for what is ahead, making us strong and building our character. At
times, we have to learn hard lessons – luckily, they are the type of lesson you only have to learn once.
Life is a journey ... chances are that you will never pass through the same "landscape" again!
