This past August, Whidbey Island voters were asked whether to continue the levy previously
approved by voters six years ago, a levy that has been funded since 1978. The answer was a
resounding “Yes,” with the vote garnering more than 70 percent.
We are extremely humbled by the overwhelming support that continues from our To Learn More
community. This levy will allow us to maintain our high standards and meet the challenges
of increasing 9-1-1 call volumes, while also continuing to provide valuable community About Safety
education and safety programs.
