Monitor Your Credit Scores
and History
When your budget is in place, you’ve made the transition from being someone whose
money and credit scores control them to someone who controls their money and their
credit scores.
However, there will be situations where your credit score changes because of factors
outside of your control.
Checking Your Credit History Can Help You Spot Fraud & Errors
For example, an identity thief could use your social security number to open a new
account and run up debt. Also, credit card companies or lenders could put incorrect
delinquencies or charge-offs on your credit history.
You can curb most of these score-damaging situations by monitoring your credit report
on a weekly or daily basis. Because credit reports (we call them credit histories) are
