         says in Yoma (86b) ‘Who is considered to have repented [properly]?
         Whoever is confronted by a sin and is saved from transgressing, pro-
         vided it is at the same time and in the same place [i.e. the temptation
         was the same].’”

            These are novel ideas and further study is necessary -- is a person
         allowed to endanger himself in order to repent?! Perhaps here too, the
         [teacher’s] intent was that they should slightly endanger themselves
         but Hashem nonetheless punished them because He is extremely
         particular with the righteous.

          ɳ	 Summary and Conclusions

                 1.	 Prolonged erection is a dangerous condition.
                 2.	 There are ways to mitigate the danger without emitting

                     semen for naught, but if this is necessary it is permitted to
                     spill the semen.
