became a great Torah scholar.

   ɳ	 Summary and conclusions

To question one: The patient should be treated with tranquilizing
pills and engaged in conversations that will teach him how to meet
the challenge of his desires and how to overcome them but not by
fornication.

  To question two: The daughter should not sacrifice herself and of-

As things currently stand in the military, methods of communication
facilitate the swift flow of information about casualties on Shabbos.
It often happens that a family hears the news before arrival of the
specially trained army team. (These teams include a psychologist,
a physician and other professionals.) Unfortunately, the delivery of
bitter news is often met by fainting and we have even heard of at least
two cases where one of the parents dropped dead upon hearing the
bad news.

  I would like to ask the Rav whether the common occurrence of
fainting and the less common occurrence of death upon receiving
