      Sore Throat
Soothe a sore throat by gargling with a mixture of 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar in 1⁄3 cup (80 ml) of warm water. Gargle every hour in the morning, and then every two hours in the afternoon.
Headache
Combine one part vinegar and one part steaming hot water. Inhale steam 80 times to help ease headache pain. Apply a thick compress soaked in a vinegar solution (1⁄3 vinegar with 2⁄3 water) to the forehead or to the nape of the neck. Remove once cooled.
Nausea
Drink 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar in 1⁄4 cup of sparkling water as soon as symptoms appear. If nausea is due to pregnancy, drink the mixture first thing in the morning. If symptoms occur after meals, drink 1 teaspoon cider vinegar combined with 1⁄4 cup of lemon balm infusion.
Ear Care
Vinegar’s high acidity makes it an excellent antibacterial agent. A recent study shows that a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water is effective in preventing external infections in the ear canal when applied with cotton swabs. It is also effective in preventing external otitis, or swimmer’s ear, which often affects frequent swimmers and divers. Simply mix one part white vinegar with one part boiled water and rinse ears with the solution after swimming. Caution: doing this too often could irritate the ear canal.
