always love how she’d say things to me, to get me to hear her. She told me Teri…
Don’t listen to anything she said. She is not you. You are a totally different
person. That was her experience, not yours. Do not talk to her again. She was
right. Lori was the exact person I needed to talk to in that moment. She’s a strong
personality, an unbelievable leader in her work life, and someone I totally trust and
admire. I needed her in that very moment and she was there to take charge of my reins
and get me back on the right path.
Lori also looked up everything on the internet about Choroidal Melanoma and what I
was going to be going through. She made a binder with all sorts of information she’d
found and had it on hand, as we moved through the process. She was the one who
would spoon fed me information, as I could handle it. It was the exact right approach I
needed.
Lori also reinforced her belief in the power of my words and to be careful how I said
certain things. She was so right. When I’d get down, or have a fearful outlook on
something, she’d get me right back on track by giving me better (more positive) words
to use. She’s exactly the type of person you'd want around, because I can assure you,
that kind of positivity is what helped guide me through some of my dark days.
Jay and me
Jay… my dear sweet Jay. I can’t say enough about him. He’s been there
every step of the way. He totally took care of me. His Chiropractor back
round was also really helpful . He helped me understand what the doctors
were saying. He saw me at every moment through this, holding me together at
times and holding us together at times. He’s my true angle and I can’t
imagine having done this without him.
* My sweet Jay. This road would have been very different without you. You
helped me find light in so many dark days. Thank you for being my
rock. You stuck by me though everything and I'll never forget it. I love you
with all of my heart, forever.
