The Commissioner’s Office includes the Ricky Rich was appointed Deputy Commissioner
Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and two of DDS in February 2017. The previous three
executive assistants. years, Ricky served as Director of Investigations
for the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.

Commissioner of the Georgia Department At DDS, Rich provides leadership and oversight
of Driver Services (DDS) on January 17, 2017. for agency operations by working closely with
Commissioner Moore’s 20-year career in Commissioner Moore to identify methods to
state government includes 14 years with the strengthen the entire agency while focusing on
Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS). the Agency’s core values.
He served his last six years at GOHS as Deputy
Director and became a leading expert in
highway traffic safety initiatives.
